Disastrous Day

In the span of eight hours at the District on Martin, our ceiling sprouted a huge leak and our outdated oven caught on fire. There’s now a hole in the ceiling and the maintenance guy had to climb onto the roof to patch the primary hole (there won’t be a roofer to see it for a few days and it’s supposed to rain). A few hours later, I put a casserole in the oven and after a few seconds, the coil to this decades old electric oven cracked and caught on fire. We had to call the fire department to come and disconnect the oven. This is the second time we’ve had to call the fire department for problems at a Middletown property. These people need to face justice NOW, because their negligence may cost lives.
