Unrentable

Middletown has jerked me and my spouse around since move in. They advertised the property as a fenced in 1 bed 1 bath with central air. When we were shown a tour, the fence was not put up. Which wasn’t a problem until we put in multiple work orders over the span of 6 months. They finally canceled the work order because it could not be repaired in the weather conditions we had. The central air has not worked since we moved in. Our thermostat THIS morning on 1/20/25 read 58 degrees when it was set to 75. We have had problems even in the summer trying to keep ourselves cool. They have given us window units for air and space heaters for warmth. Even with the space heaters, it reads 63 degrees in our apartment as im typing this. When our fridge went our for Thanksgiving, they told us that it wasn’t an emergency and maintenance would be out sometime next week. Worried about our hundreds of dollars worth of food in the fridge, we got a couple coolers and stuck them outside hoping It would keep until cooking day. Luckily Middletown came out with a fridge that same day. Possibly due to a post we made that got a lot of traction in a Muncie group. They are despicable and only care if you give them money or not. When we were being evicted after falling behind, they originally tried to send us an eviction notice without a court order. They wisened up and the court order came in the mail on a Saturday. I haven’t rented through many landlords in my life as I am only 22, but I can promise I will never rent through Middletown Property Group ever again.
